The story behind your new contract manufacturer
What happens when an entrepreneur sells his business, only to realize he loves building things too much to stay retired?
In 2017, Stewart McMillan sold Task Force Tips (TFT), a global leader in firefighting equipment. At TFT, nearly every component was made in-house—across 50+ CNC machines, 5-axis mills and lathes, waterjets, lasers, injection molding machines, and more. Stewart spent decades pushing the boundaries of advanced manufacturing, driven by a passion for solving problems and making high-quality products.
But after stepping away, he found that something was missing. Stewart wasn’t done. The joy of working with a team, making cool things, and navigating tough challenges was still in his DNA.
By 2024, that itch to build again became something real. He linked up with two like-minded people—Rob Billings and Dan Schultz, and together they started Vision on Division.
